About This Property
Location: The village of Hashmi The village of Hashmi holds a distinctive position within the winemaking map of Kakheti. Unlike more widely recognized microzones, it remained outside mainstream attention for a long time, allowing it to preserve its authentic agricultural culture and local winemaking practices in a largely unaltered form. Historically, this territory lay within the sphere of influence of the ancient region of Kartli, serving as a transitional link between eastern and central Georgia. This geographical positioning shaped a unique microclimate, a combination of Kakheti’s continental influence and softer western air currents. The soils of Hashmi are alluvial and calcareous, rich in minerals, which gives the local Saperavi pronounced structure, density, and strong aging potential. During the Imperial period, grapes from this area were often used to enhance blends; however, it is only in recent decades that Hashmi has begun to reveal itself as a distinct terroir in its own right. Todays Hashmi is a “hidden asset” of Kakheti. A territory with significant growth potential. “Zenishi” the Brand Within this context, “Zenishi” represents a fully formed operational base with clear positioning in the premium segment and immediate scalability potential. The estate spans 3.3 hectares, including 2.2 hectares of cultivated Saperavi vineyards equipped with drip irrigation. This ensures harvest stability and consistent quality control, critical factors for premium wine production. At the core of the project is a functional qvevri winery, equipped with 48 qvevri ranging from 150 to 1,300 liters. The production philosophy combines traditional Georgian methods with modern enological control systems, allowing the brand to operate confidently in both heritage-driven and export-oriented segments. A temperature-controlled underground cellar stores up to 10,000 bottles of premium wines, including Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, and Mtsvane (2018–2019 vintages), forming an already established product base with immediate market value. The technical infrastructure is fully deployed and includes: • pressing and processing equipment • pumping and filtration systems • bottling line • stainless steel tanks • full engineering infrastructure (water, gas, electricity, internet) Beyond production, the estate is structured also as a destination.
